Genevieve Kristofek

Director of Development, American Heart Association

Genevieve KristofekGenevieve Kristofek is the Director of Development for the American Heart Association, focusing on corporate development and supporting workplaces and community centers in Chicago. In this role, she secures funding and collaborates with community stakeholders to create a meaningful impact for those most in need. Through scientific research and targeted programs for governments, healthcare providers, hospital and pre-hospital systems, workplaces, and communities, the American Heart Association promotes heart and brain health globally.

Genevieve began her career working on political campaigns, serving various Chicago politicians at the federal, state, and city levels, and collaborating with national organizations. She remains actively involved in political and community organizations within and around Chicago. Driven by a profound belief in creating a kinder, fairer, and more equitable world, Genevieve has dedicated her career to fundraising and advocacy in many forms.

Genevieve earned her BA in Political Science, with minors in International Relations and English, from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. In her free time, she enjoys reading and exploring Chicago’s rich culinary scene. She is proud to join the Baumhart Scholars Class of 2026.
