Leaf Retreat

The Loyola Eco-spirituality Adventure Fall Retreat is a retreat for nature lovers, hikers, and anyone who loves encountering the Divine in the outdoors. In addition to talks from student leaders and small group reflections, retreatants will spend the weekend participating in various outdoor activities – including a 6+ mile hike along the Prairie Trail in McHenry County, engage in reflection out in nature, and build community with other students.
Who's the Retreat For?
Due to limited space, the retreat will first be opened to Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors. If space is still available after September 1st, first year students will be eligible to apply.
What to Pack
- comfortable clothes based on the weather
- outdoor sneakers or hiking shoes, indoor comfy shoes
- flipflops / shower shoes
- any medications / antihistamines you will need
- shampoo/conditioner
- toothbrush and toothpaste
- reusable water bottle
- resuable coffee tumbler
- journal (if you have one)
- phone charger
Meals
All meals are provided by the LUREC kitchen. When you register you will have the opportunity to indicate any allergies or dietary accommodations you will need.
Cost
$50 (includes all meals, snacks, transportation, lodging, etc.) Financial aid is available for all our retreats.
