We can all use our voices to change the culture to prevent sexual violence. Prevention requires addressing the roots causes and social norms that allow sexual violence to exist. This April, we called on groups whose influence can play a critical role in changing the culture.
This interactive art installation created a picture of what makes Loyola men “real men.” Through a real-time data map, men shared their thoughts and feelings on this important question.
The Mask You Live In is a documentary that follows boys and young men as they struggle to stay true to themselves while negotiating America’s narrow definition of masculinity. Popcorn and candy were provided with a discussion following.
Campus Ministry led a discussion about the intersection of faith and intimacy. Representatives from the Catholic, Jewish, and Muslim faith traditions were present to answer questions after the panel discussion.
Loyola athletes wore teal shoelaces to raise awareness about Sexual Assault Awareness Month while a "kissing booth" was set up to learn more about consent.
