Wan, Guofang

Bio

Dr. Guofang Wan received her Ph.D. Degree from the Pennsylvania State University, Master’s Degrees from the University of Warwick, U.K., and Shanghai International Studies University.

Currently serving as a professor and chair of Teaching and Learning at Loyola University Chicago, Dr. Wan’s higher education career includes 25 years of teaching, research and administration in universities such as University of West Florida, Virginia Commonwealth University and Ohio University.

Dr. Wan’s research has received several national recognitions which include the Margaret B.Lindsey Award for Distinguished Research in Teacher Education from the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) “for research over the last decade with major impact on the field of teacher education;” and the Fourth Annual Media Literacy Award from the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) “for persistent, innovative, and imaginative application of media analysis and media composition in the English studies.” Dr. Wan also serves as the book series editor for Chinese American Educational Research and Development Association published by Information Age Publishing (IAP).
