Reading Group
When: Tuesdays (Fall 2022)
Location: IES, Room 110
Time: 4:00 – 4:50 p.m.
Details: This reading course is on Quantum Algorithms, following a book by Richard Lipton and Kenneth Regan. Building on nothing more than linear algebra, we aim to understand the types of computations which can be done by quantum computers and the algorithms that take advantage of quantum superposition in order to quickly solve some traditionally difficult problems, such as prime factorization.
Book link: Quantum Algorithms Via Linear Algebra
Organizers: Emily Peters, Brian Seguin, and Bob Jensen
