Chinese Mid-autumn Festival
One of China's most significant holidays, the Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated by ethnic Chinese people all over the world. The event takes place on the full moon night between early September and early October, which falls on the 15th day of the eighth month of the Chinese lunisolar calendar.The reunion moon is particularly significant in Chinese culture because, according to Chinese mythology, the full moon's rounded shape symbolizes "togetherness." Every year, the "full moon day" (the 15th day of the 8th lunar month) falls on the Mid-Autumn Festival. On September 28, students taking Chinese language classes at Loyola gathered at the Language Learning Resource Center (LLRC) to celebrate the Chinese Mid-autumn Festival.
