About
As a clinical assistant professor, Demetris D. Hogan, DNP, MBA, RN, has taught nursing courses for over 11 years, reaching nursing students in lab and theory in the beginning courses and concepts in the middle and end of the program courses. Dr. Hogan's teaching methods are straight forward and utilize a variety of resources, which include traditional and flipped classroom activities. She has excelled in her roles, being a Daisy Award nominee and Excellence Award winner, and has created content reviews, NCLEX prep, and provided pediatric workshops to clinical partners. Also, Dr. Hogan loves providing community service. Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, she strives to make a positive impact with her family and in her community, the city, and the world!
Research Interests
Dr. Hogan's research interest include healthcare equity, reducing disparities for vulnerable populations, increased awareness of African American women health issues.
