Data Literacy

Data Literacy is integral for institutions to learn how to use their institutional analysis in a useful way.  At LUC, one core area of this process is the creation of an institutional data literacy collective that brings representatives from across the university together to better understand and use institutionally provided data from OIE. This group, the Data Discernment Initiative Champions (DDIC) are trained in data governance processes as well as on how to use each institutional analysis optimally to improve their area’s business processes. If you are looking for your DDIC representative, please take a look at this list.  The DDIC meets monthly for training and discussion; they also provide OIE with feedback on how to improve data access, views, analysis and other aspects of data governance so that users continue to have optimal use of institutional data.
