Academic Integrity Toolbox for Online Courses
Academic integrity in online courses can be promoted through a variety of methods, and well-designed courses usually employ multiple strategies at once. OOL has created a guide that instructors can use to better ensure students follow the Academic Integrity Code in online environments. The Academic Integrity Toolbox is divided into modules that address areas such as:
- University Guidelines and Support
- Developing a Community of Integrity
- Prevention and Detection Strategies
- Dealing with Artificial Intelligence (AI)
While most courses will use a combination of these general approaches, not every strategy presented will be effective for every course or group of students. Programs and instructors seeking additional assistance with choosing the most appropriate integrity strategies for their online courses can contact the Office of Online Learning at online@luc.edu.
