Evening of Excellence Celebrates Graduates’ Final Projects

At the Parkinson School’s inaugural Evening of Excellence on May 4, 24 students completing a Master of Public Health or Master of Science program will gather in virtual rooms to share their final projects, engage in scholarly discourse and learn from fellow students and faculty. The brief presentations will be followed by a Q&A as well as four breakout rooms with six students each.  With faculty and faculty mentors on hand, all of the participants will share their expertise and insights.

“We are so proud of our graduates’ work and their many contributions,” said Joanne Kouba, PhD, RD, LN and chair, department of applied health sciences. “We know that these and our other Parkinson graduates will continue to their commitment to excellence as they enter the world of healthcare at this critical juncture.”

The topics of the presentations range from “Direct-Acting Oral Anticoagulants Laboratory Monitoring” and “Barriers and Facilitators for Mental Health Services Utilization Among Indian Americans” to “The Effects of High Fat Diet Interventions on Athletic Performance.”

Congratulations to the Evening of Excellence students and a big thank you to their faculty mentors!
