Our Campus

Students at the Parkinson School might take classes at Loyola University Chicago’s Lake Shore Campus on the city’s North Side or the University’s Health Sciences Campus in west suburban Maywood. Both campuses offer lively environments for learning, collaboration, and social interaction.

Lake Shore Campus

One of the most picturesque college campuses in the Midwest, the Lake Shore Campus sits alongside the banks of Lake Michigan in the Rogers Park and Edgewater neighborhoods on Chicago’s North Side. The Lake Shore Campus is the University’s main residential campus and hosts more than 40 buildings, including the new Arnold J. Damen Student Center and the 72,000-square foot Information Commons. The campus is a short train ride from downtown Chicago, while Rogers Park is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the country with ample opportunity for cultural discovery.

Health Sciences Campus

Located approximately 12 miles west of downtown Chicago, the Health Sciences Campus in Maywood, Illinois, opened in 1962. The campus is the Parkinson School’s primary home and houses various institutes and centers encouraging interprofessional education and research opportunities, such as the Center for Translational Research and Education, the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center, the Institute for Transformative Interprofessional Education, and the Infectious Disease and Immunology Research Institute.

Loyola University Medical Center sits adjacent to the Health Sciences Campus and Parkinson faculty members often have clinical appointments at Loyola University Health System. This strong partnership provides our students with relevant and up-to-date techniques, practices, and methods to inform their education and their professional pursuits.
