Alex Bacchetti
Adjunct Instructor, Management
Alex Bacchetti, MBA, brings more than 30 years of experience in consulting, hospital and medical group operations, project management, physician relations, clinical integration, strategic planning, marketing, business development, and post-merger integration to his position as adjunct instructor at the Quinlan School of Business.
In addition to serving in strategic and operational roles including as COO for a large healthcare system medical group, and for a health system’s population health and clinically integrated network, and as VP of strategy and marketing for several hospitals and health systems, he also successfully led the business transformation and deployment of a single ERP (PeopleSoft and Kronos) system across a merged 9-hospital system.
Alex has also served as a healthcare consultant with Ernst & Young Cap Gemini, and with Navigant (now Guidehouse), and currently consults independently, assisting healthcare systems in areas including strategy, operations, and service line planning, typically with a focus on applying digital technology to solve today’s biggest health system challenges.
Alex currently teaches marketing and the capstone strategic management course in the Quinlan Healthcare Management MBA executive degree program and has previously taught the healthcare finance course. He also teaches in the Executive and Professional Education Center where he leads the practical finance module in the Dog Tag program, a certificate program for military veterans and their spouses and caregivers.
Alex earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, with concentrations in Finance, Marketing and Health Services Management.
