About

Nicola Moruzzi is a director, producer, film editor and film professor. His feature doc “Revelstoke, a Kiss in the Wind” was nominated by the David di Donatello Academy (Italian Oscars) as best documentary in 2016. The film was distributed in Italy (LaEffe), Switzerland (RSI), Canada (TVO and Knowledge TV) and won several awards, including first prize at the International Documentary Festival “Visioni dal Mondo” in Milan and the the Italian Documentarist Association (DOC-IT) prize in 2016. In 2018 Nicola directed the documentary series “Programma Italia”, co-produced by Italian NGO “Emergency” and Zelig Media Company. The series aired on Zelig TV and was nominated best tv program at the Diversity Media Awards. In 2009 he co-founded Fake Factory, a production company credited for several films, awarded by Italian and international film festivals (“Fratelli d’Italia” by Claudio Giovannesi - Special Mention, Rome Film Festival 2009, “Ci vorrebbe un miracolo” winner - Rome Independent Film Festival 2014, “Ragazze la vita trema” by Paola Sangiovanni, Venice International Film Festival LXVI Edition - Giornate degli Autori - In competition). As film editor, Nicola has recently worked on several films such as “Passione Cinema”, by Francesco Martinotti (2022 Venice Film Festival), “La Versione di Anita”, by Luca Criscenti (produced by RAI, 2022) and “D’annunzio, l’uomo che inventò se stesso”, by S. Viali and F. Pirani (produced by RAI, 2022).
