The SGLC, in partnership with the Student Environmental Alliance (SEA), the School of Environmental Science, the Chief Investment Office, the Office of the President, and the Board of Trustees is advocating for the Loyola’s divestment from fossil fuels and other harmful industries like the prison industrial complex and the overall development of a sustainable investment portfolio, inclusive of positive investments into renewable energies. The SGLC also worked in tandem with the aforementioned parties to increase student representation to the Board of Trustees with the addition of a Student Representative to the Investment Policy Committee of the Board of Trustees.
