Since 2016, the SGLC has advocated for Loyola to adopt a Tobacco, Smoke, and Vape-Free Campus Policy with the assistance of the Wellness Center, Division of Student Development, and University Senate. In February 2021, the University Senate passed a resolution supporting the adoption of this policy, joining over 2,300 other campuses nationwide that are Smoke-Free.
