What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola?
My favorite thing is the people: the students and my co-workers!
What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee?
Last Easter, when twelve students were received into the Church after completing six months of classes under my direction, the entire chapel community gave the students a several-minutes-long standing ovation during the Mass. I will never forget the joy that I saw on the faces of the students as I stood beside them!
What does Loyola's mission mean to you?
Loyola’s mission of transforming students’ lives guides my work with students as I offer them spiritual direction and prepare many of them for lifetime involvement in the Church as people of faith. This mission informs even my informal discussions with students about the “big issues” of life as well as my work in preparing students for important milestones in their journey of faith.
What motivates you to succeed each and every day?
My Catholic Christian faith inspires me to always do my best and to put others first.
Tell us how you show your Rambler pride.
I have a maroon and gold necktie that I try to wear for special occasions.
Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you.
When I was a child, I originally wanted to be an oceanographer when I grew up—that is until I saw the movie Jaws! I am still fascinated by the ocean and aquatic life.
