What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola? I love to connect with the student staff as well as my co-workers. When I am having a bad day, I can always count on those around me to cheer me up (even when they don’t know I need a pick me up). I work with such a supportive and positive group of people!
What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee? I was entrusted to onboard our new hires this fall semester and we had 66 new hires. While at times it was stressful, it was a rewarding experience to meet all the new faces of our department and have the chance to connect with our Loyola students.
What does Loyola's mission mean to you? Loyola’s mission to me means that as an employee I can make a difference in my surrounding work environment – it means that in order to have an impact you have to lead with kindness and respect. Every day I hope to bring a little bit of happiness to those I interact with and create a safe space for those to be their true selves.
What motivates you to succeed each and every day? I am motivated to do well for my team, for the students, for my family and for myself.
Tell us how you show your Rambler pride: I love to show my Rambler pride through wearing Loyola apparel and also gifting it to my family – Loyola apparel makes for great Christmas stocking gifts!
Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you: I think people would be surprised to learn that I grew up wanting to be a Marine Biologist – science classes in high school quickly steered me away from wanting to pursue that.
