Wireless FAQ

1. Click the Wi-Fi icon toward the upper right of your screen in the menu bar.
2. Click on Open Network Preferences.
3. Click the Advanced button.
4. Click the Wi-Fi tab. Select the network(s) you would like your Mac to forget.
5. Click on the minus (-) button. Do this for “LUC” and any other University network you attempted to connect to (LUC-Guest, LOYOLA) Click on the OK button.

1. Find LUC among your wireless networks
2. A log in box will pop up. Make sure the network requires WPA2 enterprise credentials.
3. Mode is Automatic
4. Enter your Loyla user
5. Enter your Loyola Password
6. Check the box "Remember the network"
7. A certificate is needed to access LUC network.  Click CONTINUE
8. Enter you MAC username and password that you sign into your MAC with, in order to accept the certificate
9. Enter you Loyola username and password to get connected to the LUC network.
10. You should now be connected.

Apple users, if you are having difficulty connecting or staying connected to the "LUC" network, make sure you do not have "Randomized Mac Address"  turned on. These need to be off for the "LUC" network.

1. Tap Wi-Fi.
2. Tap the info button next to the wi-fi network you want to forget. It looks like a lower-case I.
3. Tap Forget This Network. Do this for “LUC” and any other University network you attempted (Luc-guest and Loyola)
4. Tap Forget when prompted to confirm you want to forget the network.

1. Tap Settings
2. Tap Wi-Fi
3. Select LUC wireless network
4. Enter your Loyola username(uvid) and password
5. Select “Trust” (the certificate that says accept is no longer valid if you get that, turn your phone off and back on and then restart this process from the beginning)
6. You are now connected to LUC wireless

1. Tap Settings
2. Tap Wi-Fi
3. Tap the “I” (information) button next to the “LUC” network
4. Tap Private Address.

1. Click on the Network icon on the lower right corner of your screen
2. Click “Network & Internet Settings”
3. Click Manage Wi-Fi Settings
4. Under “Manage known network’ click the network you want to forget
5. Click “Forget” Do this for “LUC” and any other University network you attempted to connect to (LUC-Guest, LOYOLA) Click on the OK button.

1. Click on the Network icon on the lower right corner of your screen
2. Click “LUC” from the list of wireless networks and click “Connect”
3. Enter your username/uvid and password
4. Click OK
5. When prompted for “Continue Connecting?”, click “Connect”
6. You should now be connected.

1. Go to System Preferences > Network
2. Select WiFi on the left
3. Chose the wireless network from the list
4. Click on the “Disconnect” button. Do this for “LUC” and any other University network you attempted to connect to (LUC-Guest, LOYOLA) Click on the OK button.

1. Open the Settings
2. Select Network and Internet.
3. Select WiFi.
4. Connect to the UT wireless network 
5. Tap the gear iconnext to the current wifi connection.
6. Select Advanced.
7. Select Privacy.
8. Select "Use device MAC"

1. Navigate to "Settings"
2. Select "Connections"
3. Select "WiFi"
4. Select your wireless network
5. Tap the gear shaped icon next to the network you connected to
6. Select "Advanced"
7. On the next screen there is a menu labeled "MAC Address Type". Tap on "MAC Address Type"
8. Select “Use Phone/Device MAC”

1. Turn on Wi-fi
2. Select the “LUC” network
3. In EAP method, select “PEAP”
4. In Phase 2 authentication select “MSCHAPv2
5. Leave Server CA certificate as “Default”
6. In Identity, enter your University Username/uvid
7. In Password type in your University password
8. Leave Anonymous identity blank
9. Click the Connect button
10. You should now be connected.
