About
Professor Donner is an attorney and trial consultant working with Donner & Company Law Offices LLC in DuPage County. A former president of the DuPage County Bar Association, he served as editor-in-chief for the DCBA Brief for two years and was named the DCBA Lawyer of the Year in 2011. Prior to opening his own firm in 2002, he worked as an associate with Rock, Fusco, Reynolds & Garvey in Chicago and served Of Counsel to the litigation practice group at Altheimer & Gray, where his practice was concentrated in antitrust, insurance coverage, and general commercial litigation. In addition to a number of law review and bar journal articles, he is the author of two national treatises for Thomson Reuters (West Group): Jury Selection Strategy and Science (with Richard Gabriel) and The Attorneys Practice Guide to Negotiations (with the Honorable Brian Crowe). His classes at Loyola have included Negotiations, Client Counseling, Appellate Advocacy, Antitrust (Pre-Trial Seminar), and the Law of Jury Selection. He has also coached Loyola teams for the Chicago Bar Association moot court competition and the ABA negotiation competition.
Degrees
Professor Donner earned his undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Arts) at Roosevelt University and his law degree from Loyola in 1990. While at Loyola, he served as editor-in-chief of the law school's monthly newspaper, Blackacre, and was a member of the editorial board for Loyola's Consumer Law Reporter. He was named best oralist in Loyola's intraschool moot court competition and was among the first coaches recognized by Loyola's moot court honors board at their annual dinner in 1999.
