About
Emma McMullen is a Supervisory Attorney at Legal Aid Chicago in the Children and Families Practice Group. She joined Legal Aid Chicago in 2018 after graduating from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law, where she received a certificate in Child and Family Law and participated in the Civitas ChildLaw Fellowship program. She has practiced all areas of law that the Children and Families Practice Group covers. She primarily provides representation in family law matters, including parentage and divorce cases, as well as protective order matters for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. She has recently expanded her practices to include family defense work by providing parent representation in child welfare proceedings and DCFS indicated appeals. In 2019, she spent six months on the education law team on special education matters. In addition to her casework at Legal Aid Chicago, Emma is co-chair of the DEI committee.
