Maggie L. Miller

About
Maggie is a Staff Attorney and the Criminal Records Relief Coordinator at the Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation (CAASE) where she focuses her practice exclusively on representing survivors of sexual harm. In this work, Maggie represents victims of sexual violence in their pursuit of justice, and she assists survivors of human trafficking in obtaining relief from criminal records they amassed during their victimization. Maggie works closely with the policy department at CAASE on matters related to human trafficking and she trains other attorneys and self-represented survivors on criminal records relief practice.
Before joining CAASE, Maggie served as a Domestic Relations Division Staff Attorney in the Office of the Chief Judge in the Circuit Court of Cook County and as a member of the Access to Justice Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois’ inaugural Self-Represented Litigant Coordinator Program. Prior to her role with the Circuit Court, Maggie practiced in a variety of areas including family law, domestic violence, personal injury, immigration, and child protection. Throughout college and law school, Maggie worked as a writing tutor and as a teaching assistant in first year legal writing.
