About
Michael L. Morkin is the former managing partner of the Chicago office of Baker McKenzie and a recognized practitioner in international arbitration and reinsurance matters. Having successfully managed a significant business to record headcount, brand recognition, revenue and profit, Mr. Morkin brings this unique commercial understanding to his already successful track record as counsel. Mike's extensive experience and expertise has resulted in arbitration awards valued in excess of USD 1 billion, as well as industry recognition including 40 Under Forty Hall of Fame and two Chicago International Arbitration Lawyer of the Year awards. Mike teaches at the University of Chicago Law School, and is an author and frequent lecturer throughout the US, Europe and Asia.
