Entrance of the Stritch School of Medicine at the John & Herta Cuneo Center

Stritch School of Medicine/Cuneo Center (1997)

In 1997 the Stritch School of Medicine moved into a new medical education building on the Health Sciences Campus. In 2001 the building was renamed the John & Herta Cuneo Center, recognizing their generous support of medical education at Loyola. 

 

 

The new Niehoff School of Nursing building on the Health Sciences Campus

Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing (2012)

The new Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing opened on the Health Sciences Campus in Maywood, Illnois in 2012. The building houses offices and classrooms along with virtual and simulation labs and the Galante Information Commons and Health Sciences Library.

 

Translational Research building on the Health Sciences Campus

Center for Translational Research and Education (2016)

The opening of the Center for Translational Research and Education building in 2016 continued Loyola's commitment to innovative education in medicine. The center connects to the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center and features state-of-the-art wet and dry research laboratories. The building is used by faculty and students from the Stritch School of Medicine, the Niehoff School of Nursing, the Graduate School, and the Loyola University Health Systems.
