School of Dentistry
Founded in 1883 as the Chicago Dental Infirmary by Dr. Truman W. Brophy, the school was rechartered in 1884 as the Chicago College of Dental Surgery. Throughout its history is was affiliated with several universities, including Lake Forest College and Valparaiso University. By 1923 the school had affiliated with Loyola University, becoming Loyola's Chicago College of Dentaly Surgery and School of Dentistry. The school closed in 1993, after 110 years of training dentists and serving the Chicagoland area.
